Plan for Distributing Additional Mill Levy Revenue or Statement of Intent to Distribute - Weld County School District RE-1 has been fortunate to have tremendous community support that has passed regular mill levy override initiatives. The District passed a mill levy override ballot in the 2001 November election. This levy increased the general fund revenues by $2,073,000, to provide operating revenue for increasing salaries and for implementing and expanding instructional programs. In November of 2012, an additional $1,831,000 was approved by voters to restore staff compensation and critical programs. The District receives a total of $3,904,000 in mill levy override funding per year.
